Dear Friends,

Welcome to St. Mary of the Assumption, Northampton, Massachusetts.

As Pastor of St. Mary’s I am delighted to share our Roman Catholic faith in Jesus Christ with you through this medium.  Our community can trace its strong and vibrant roots here in Hampshire County since 1841, 29 years before the Diocese of Springfield was even founded!

Here in the very heart of Northampton, we offer incredible opportunities for service, education and ministry, and I invite you to become an integral part of our family life.  The entire staff is here to serve you and your families on your journey as a Catholic Christian. 

When I arrived here in 2005, I chose as a parish motto:  “Do whatever He tells you.” (Jn.2:5) - Mary’s words at the wedding feast at Cana. May you now hear these words of Our Lady spoken to you! 

Be assured of my prayers for each person that accesses this site.  I pray that Christ our light and our hope will strengthen you on your pilgrimage of faith.  May Mary our Heavenly Mother, under the title of the Assumption lead you safely to Her Son.
