Parking at St. Mary's Church

Is parking at St. Mary's Church a problem for you? Perhaps you don't know of some of the possibilities around the church. In addition to our parking lot behind the church which accommodates 58 cars, there are parking lots at Smith College available for our use from 5:00 PM to 1:00 AM, Monday through Thursday, and all weekend long from Friday, 5:00 PM to Monday, 7:00 AM. Parking lots are available behind the Alumnae House and Albright/Baldwin House with access from Bedford Terrace. Also, Unity Lot is located on Bedford Terrace. Dickinson Lot on Green Street is a large lot that takes only a 3 minute walk through the campus to reach the front door of the church. The Smith College parking garage on West Street is available in spaces not designated for students. Also on West Street (Route 66) behind Forbes Library there is parking for about 60 cars. The library closes at 5:00 PM Saturday and is closed all day Sunday. There is no need to put money in the meter there or anywhere while attending Mass.

In front of the church along Elm Street there are two handicapped parking spaces with a curb cut and logos painted on the road in addition to signs. A third space has a sign that indicates a loading/unloading space. This is convenient for a driver who drops off someone and then goes on to find a parking space. All handicapped spaces are near the ramp.

We would like to encourage people to leave the spaces in front of the church for less able-bodied parishioners and visitors who need the convenience and ease of getting into church. It is only a short walk from all of the other parking areas. We look forward to coming together with the larger Catholic community.
